What to bring on your exotic
vacation
Most Australians dress informally, although
reasonable dress standards are maintained in restaurants,
hotels and bars. Smart casual clothing is required in most
resorts after 6.00pm. Lightweight clothing is suitable all
year round. However, it's still advisable to bring something
warm to slip on, as the temperature drops at night during
winter. To ensure adequate protection from the sun it is
recommended that you bring a broad-brimmed hat, SPF 30+
sunscreen, sunglasses and a long sleeved shirt with a
collar. Suitable comfortable footwear should also be on hand
for walks along the beaches and islands.
Beach
Safety: Queensland has some of the world's best beaches.
However, care and caution should be exercised at all
times. To ensure you have a safe and secure exotic
vacation, please remember to swim between the red and
yellow flags and listen to the instructions from
lifesavers and lifeguards.
