Lord Howe Island
a pristine, exotic vacation
Lord Howe Island is one of the most
unique holiday destinations in the Pacific. There's swimming, fishing, snorkelling, mountain bike riding and
bushwalking - or you can just relax in the pristine environment of a World Heritage Area. This unique paradise
is capped by two rainforest covered volcanic peaks, often shrouded in cloud.
Just 11 kilometres long and less
than two kilometres across, Lord Howe is renowned as one of the world's most beautiful islands. You will begin
your holiday after a short flight from Sydney or Brisbane and with only a limited number of visitors permitted
on the island at anyone given time, you'll soon be enjoying that perfect relaxing holiday.
The island is a mecca for nature's most beautiful fish
and a haven for exotic plants and wildlife. Lord Howe is truly nature at its most beautiful and to ensure visitors
are given every opportunity to view the island's unique flora and fauna, guided walks are conducted each day.
With its pristine white beaches and a magnificent deep lagoon for incredible snorkelling and diving experiences,
Lord Howe Island has something for everyone.
In fact, there's no shortage of holiday activities.
You can play golf on one of the world's most pictureque courses or have a go at lawn bowls and tennis. If
you're into water sports, there's surfing, snorkelling, diving and fishing. In the crystal clear waters of
Ned's Beach there's snorkelling and scuba diving on a reef that is home to
more than 90 different types of coral and 500 species of fish. With very few cars on the island, a 25Km speed
limit and bicycles having right of way, you can easliy rent a bike and enjoy the island's many safe roads and
tracks or perthaps you'd just like to relax under a Kentia palm and read a good book.
If fishing is your way of relaxing, you can't beat Lord
Howe as it's the best. Fishing off the rocks, beaches or jetty is fun but if you really want some action join a
professional game fishing boat and get out in the deep.
